The Jamaica Network of Rural Women Producers a none profit organization achieves it's vision to empower and motivate rural women so as to improve the quality of their lives and the welfare of the communities they dwell. Hence, contributing to nation building. This drive to catalyze the socio-economic development of women in rural communities commenced officially in May of 1999 when JNRWP was launched under the patronage of Her Excellency, the Most Honourable Lady Cooke.
JNRWP works alongside it's stakeholders to assist 250 rural women members across the Island. The decision to commission Web Master Khaz to develop their website www.jnrwp.com in 2009 was a carefully calculated decision to provide a marketing tool for their members.
Technical: The website is powered by a popular content management system (cms) Joomla driven by a MySQL database and programmed with PHP. The CMS software and it's modules are all Open GPL.
